Tsa-Lung Therapy

Yoga of Subtle Energies

Tsa-Lung practice is a yogic tantric tradition of ancient Buddhist and Indian Masters.

According to the Tibetan teachings in addition to the physical body there is an energetic body consisting of body channels. The channels (tsa) are tubes for circulation of the subtle winds (lung, prana, qi, vital breath) and consciousness.

Tibetan Yungdrung Bon teachings explain the tsa as pathways, lung as a wild horse and tigle (a quality of consciousness) as the rider. The spiritual Bön-Buddhist Master Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche uses sometimes the metaphor of the house to explain the relationship of the Tsa (channels) and Lung (prana): The house is the body. The channels are the wires in the house that carry the electricity. The electricity is the prana (lung, vital energy). The light bulbs are the senses. The appliances are the mechanical functions of the body. If the prana is deficient, the bulbs will not light or will be lit only dimly. The senses won´t work fully, or the mechanical functions of the body will be defective, or the thoughts will be unclear. If the channels are broken, blocked or damaged, the results will be the same.

Through the five Tsa Lung exercises and The Nine Breathings of Purification is to open blockages and obscuration in the chakras and to rebuild the proper flow of the energy through the whole body, to heal our body, to overcome our negative habits and to improve our relationship with the surrounding. Through focusing the mind and exercising the body and breath in specific ways, we can actually release the habitual patterns of the conceptual mind and as a result, directly discover being.
